A note from the artist:
The Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) inhabits meadows and open fields with patchy vegetation and large trees. Ground-dwelling insects are its main food source. The majority of their diet includes caterpillars, beetles, crickets and grasshoppers. Bluebirds eat fruit and berries primarily in winter when insects are scarce.
