Charley Harper 1,000 Piece
The Sierra Range, 1990
Charley Harper (American, 1922—2007) designed more than fifty posters for various natural areas, parks, and conservation organizations, each colorful work celebrating a special part of our natural world in his unmistakable and vibrant style. When asked to describe this style, Harper responded: “I regard the picture as an ecosystem in which all the elements are interrelated, interdependent, perfectly balanced, without trimming or unutilized parts; . . . in a world of chaos, the picture is one small rectangle in which the artist can create an ordered universe. ” Harper’s distinctive use of simple geometric shapes, patterns, and vivid colors succinctly captures the essence of each creature he portrayed.
Thoughtfully conceived and engagingly intricate, our 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzles combine superb color reproduction, stunning and unusual images, and sturdy construction to delight generations of novice and veteran puzzleworkers.
